Amarillo's Wild Weather & My Digital Nomad Misadventures

so i just checked and it's... there right now, hope you like that kind of thing. 10 degrees, feels like 7.62? that's brisk, even for a digital nomad who thinks a hoodie is a winter coat. the pressure's 1000hPa, humidity's a measly 25%, so the air's dry enough to make your lips crack if you're not careful. sea level's 1000, but the ground level's 879? weird, right? feels like the earth's got a slight case of the sniffles. anyway, if you get bored, lubbock or oklahoma city are just a short drive away. someone told me that the local diner's pie is legendary, but i heard another rumor that the coffee's stronger than a trucker's handshake. i'm not sure which to believe. i mean, i saw a yelp review that said 'best coffee in town' and another that said 'coffee tastes like burnt socks.' classic. i guess you find out for yourself.

*here's the thing about this weather: it's unpredictable. one minute it's sunny, the next it's spitting snow. pack layers, people. layers. and maybe a good book.
