Fogmore: Where the Concrete Weeps and the Walls Talk

so june 30th, 2014, and i’m staring at this wall that’s practically begging for color. 1792479307? that’s the bus route number that dropped me here, but all i cared about was the murals screaming back from brick underpasses. fogmore’s got this vibe where every alley’s a gallery if you squint right.

i just checked and it's... damp enough to make your paint bleed and your bones shiver, hope you brought a thermos of something strong. the air’s thick enough to chew, like breathing through a wet wool sock. if you get bored, just hop that rattling tram to the coast for some salt-spray therapy or wander inland to the old textile mills where the ghosts of factory workers still haunt the shadows.

here’s the gossip i scraped from the back of *dusty dive bars and alleyway whispers:

“heard the mayor’s nephew got commissioned to ‘clean up’ the riverbank tunnel next month. better tag your stuff there quick before they whitewash history.”

“some drunk tourist tried to buff a Banksy rip-off with his sleeve. ended up paying for the whole wall restoration. true story.”

the real juice? check out the
abandoned power station near the docks - locals say it’s the holy grail, but the security’s tighter than a drum solo. for legit art spots, yelp’s got this list that’s half-decent, and tripadvisor’s forum has some gems if you dig through the spam.

“that mural of the squid eating the factory? artist got arrested twice for it. cops call it vandalism, we call it truth.”

bring gloves, your best markers, and a waterproof jacket. the city sweats like a nervous performer, and your art might just wash away by breakfast. if you’re brave enough to tag the
old clock tower*, they say the fog itself becomes your co-conspirator.
