fujisawa’s quiet corners and the yoga mat epiphanies i didn’t see coming

woke up at 5am to the sound of wind chewing through my bamboo blinds-turns out fujisawa doesn’t believe in gentle mornings when there’s 9°c with delusions of being 7°c. humidity hangs at 50%, which honestly just means my hair’s decided to audition for a dandelion role.

someone at the *enoshima island tea stall whispered that the sunset from the lighthouse makes even the most rigid spines soften. (check their weirdly poetic tripadvisor page if you don’t believe me).

just peeked at my weather app-9.8°c but feels like a shy 7.7°c, which i’ve now decided is the universe’s way of saying
wear two layers of leggings. found a hidden café near the station that serves matcha so thick you could stand a spoon in it-yelp claims it’s "life-changing," but honestly it’s just really good frothy plant water.

if your downward dog needs a change of scenery,
kamakura’s temples or yokohama’s ramen alleys are just a train ride away. overheard a lobster fisherman muttering about some "haunted cave" west of here, but i’m 80% sure he was just hungover.

stumbled into a
beachfront yoga studio that smells like old seaweed and incense (their local bulletin board says they do moon salutations at midnight). the barista at pirate coffee (yes, that’s the real name) told me not to bother with the shrine crowds on weekends unless i "enjoy being elbowed by octogenarians."

pro tip: buy the
strawberry mochi* from the cart near daibutsu hiking trail. it’s not on any map, but your taste buds will send you a thank-you card.
