i landed in karuizawa on a crisp day and the air felt like a promise i just checked and it's...this right now, hope you dig it if you get restless, little hamlets up the lane pop up in a snap someone told me that the old train depot is haunted after midnight but i think it's just the wind i snapped a few shots of the *station at sunrise and the river glimmered like liquid silver the cafe down the lane serves espresso that tastes like sunrise itself bring a light jacket if you plan to wander the mountain trail later tonight the weather forecast says clear skies with a hint of chill so pack accordingly i heard that the local market has a hidden stall selling fresh persimmons that melt in your mouth you can check the reviews on TripAdvisor or see what locals say on Yelp and don't miss the community board on Karuizawa Local Forum the map below shows where i set up my gear i found a quiet spot near the river* where the water runs slow and the light hits just right
