Lisbon: Where the Weather Is... Interesting
so i just checked and it's... there right now, hope you like that kind of thing. 13.92 degrees, feels like 12.96. not exactly tropical, but hey, it's not freezing either. humidity's at 61%, which means your hair might decide to rebel, and the pressure's sitting pretty at 1029. i mean, it's not exactly beach weather, but it's not a blizzard either. perfect for wandering, i guess. if you get bored, [cities] are just a short drive away. someone told me that the local café has the best pastel de nata, but it's always packed. i heard that the old tram line 28 is a tourist trap, but drunk advice says the views from miradouro da senhora do monte are worth the climb. check out this place for pastel de nata, if you dare. and this museum is supposedly fascinating if you're into vintage transport. oh, and this market is a sensory overload, but someone warned me the fruit vendors can be pushy.
i mean, who needs a beach when you've got azulejos everywhere? these tiles are like the city's wallpaper. and the light! it hits everything just right. it's like the whole place is dipped in gold at sunset.
*gear list (because i'm a digital nomad, obviously):
- lightweight backpack (because i'm not a tourist)
- universal adapter (because portugal loves its plugs)
- portable charger (because i'm always on the go)
- waterproof jacket (because the weather is... there)
pro-tip*: if you're heading to the beach, bring a towel. but honestly, the city itself is the main attraction.
see you wandering around, hopefully not getting lost in the maze of alleys.
