Lost in the Distance (and Maybe a Little Sunburnt)

okay, so i just spent a ridiculously long day wandering around…well, somewhere with a zip code of 965301. seriously, where even is that? the weather right now? there right now, hope you like that kind of thing. temperature's a balmy 29.99 degrees celsius, feels like 30.3, though. humidity's a bit high, which makes everything feel…sticky.

spent most of it just aimlessly walking, trying to find some kind of interesting alleyway or a spot with decent light for…you know…whatever it is i do. i’m a…well, let’s just say i have a particular artistic bent. no time for fancy stuff though, just trying to capture a fleeting moment.

found a little cafe - it looked promising online, like you can check out the reviews on TripAdvisor - but the coffee was…disappointing. a bit bitter. i heard that the local spot on Yelp has way better brew, but it’s a bit of a trek. i'm aiming for places that aren’t too crowded, you know? the usual. and honestly? the kind of energy that makes a musician want to find a quiet corner. i heard that someone told me this city has a surprisingly good live music scene, though.

this whole thing feels…temporary. like a little pressure cooker of exploration. i'm trying to soak it all in, the smells, the sounds, the faces…even the slightly questionable street food. i'm just trying to figure out where the next interesting thing will be. it’s a weird kind of freedom, wandering without a set plan. if you get bored, [cities] are just a short drive away. they’re always a good option for a change of scenery. i'm considering heading in that direction next. maybe find a place to practice my…art. i just checked and it's...there right now, hope you like that kind of thing. it's a nice, hazy kind of lighting.

spent a good chunk of time just people-watching. the energy here is…interesting. it’s a mix of quiet observation and sudden bursts of activity. i just hope i don't get lost again. it happens. maybe i'll check out this local art gallery - I've heard the owner is a pretty interesting person. i’m trying to embrace the mess of it all, you know? it’s definitely…an experience.
