Tijuana's Weather Woes and My Messy Morning

Okay, so here's the thing: I just checked and it's...there right now, hope you like that kind of thing. 12.83°C, feels like 12.31. Not exactly beach weather, but hey, it's not freezing either. Feels like a solid 'meh' for a morning. The humidity's at 82%, which means my hair is already staging a rebellion against any attempt at style. Pressure's 1022, so no storms brewing, just... damp air. Grnd level pressure is 1016, which is slightly lower, but honestly, who's counting? It's just... there. Like a lukewarm shower you can't quite get out of.

Alright, moving on before I get too existential about atmospheric pressure. If you get bored, nearby cities like San Diego are just a short drive away. Or maybe you'll find something interesting right here in the border town. I heard that the taco stand on Avenida Revolución has lines out the door, but someone told me their al pastor is just okay. I heard that the local art scene is... something. Honestly, I'm too busy trying to find decent coffee and a place to plug in my gear.

Speaking of gear, finding a decent spot to shoot is like finding a needle in a haystack. The lighting here is... challenging. It's either too harsh from the sun blasting through the windows or too dim in the corners. I need good light, you know? It's not just about the photo; it's about capturing the vibe. But sometimes, you just have to make do. Like this morning, I ended up shooting in the kitchen because the light was actually decent. Cooked food on white ceramic plate, pasta with sauce on white ceramic plate, fried food on white ceramic plate. Yeah, my portfolio's looking pretty hungry lately.

Anyway, if you're planning a trip, check out the reviews on TripAdvisor. Someone told me that the Hotel Lucerna has a nice pool, but I heard the service can be hit or miss. Yelp might have something on the local food trucks. And for the official word, the Tijuana Tourism Board website probably has the latest on events and attractions.

Here's a map to get you oriented, though it's probably more useful for me trying to find my way around:

And because I can't resist, here are a few shots I took while trying to ignore the weather:

So yeah, that's my messy morning in Tijuana. Coffee's cold, the light's meh, but the tacos... well, someone told me they're good. Maybe tomorrow will be better. Or maybe I'll just keep shooting pasta.
