Wandering Through Vermillion Hollow, Where the Cold and the Cats Mock Tourists
woke up at 6 am feeling like my bones were auditioning for the stone conservatory sculptures downtown. checked the meter and it’s 8.8°C, which feels like 7.25 if you believe the locals who swear the air has a vendetta against warm weather. shutters are open on the café across the piazza, power hums, and someone left their bodega cat sitting on my laptop right now, probably judging my life choices.
