i’m pretty sure my left shoulder is permanently dented from carrying this lens bag all day, but hey-that’s the freelance photographer life for you. just glanced at my phone and it’s 20.6°C out there, which honestly feels exactly like 20.3°C if you ask me. perfect for lugging gear around, but also just warm enough to make you regret wearing black. again.

stumbled into this place chasing golden hour light and found myself arguing with a pigeon over who gets to sit on the best patch of sidewalk. the locals here don’t even blink at it-just another tuesday.if you get antsy, mazatlán’s a few hours west, and los mochis is lurking north like that one friend who always shows up unannounced.

someone told me the mercado gasta el rey has tacos that’ll make you reconsider your life choices (yelp backs this up, but i haven’t risked it yet-my gut’s still recovering from guadalajara). instead, i’ve been nursing cheap americanos at this corner spot with chairs older than my passport.

i heard through the grapevine that the cathedral’s bell tower is the spot for sunset shots, but honestly? it’s swarmed with tourists holding selfie sticks longer than my patience. opting for back alleys instead-better textures, fewer humans. if you’re braver than me, check out the culiacán tourism board’s official list of "must-sees" (lol) or dive into tripadvisor’s chaos for real-talk warnings about street food roulette.

anyway, my battery’s at 3%, my SD card’s full of half-decent mistakes, and i just saw a cloud that looks like my ex’s face. time to pack up.
