Healthcare Quality in Tbilisi: Top Hospitals & Medical Centers
look, i'm no doctor, but as a touring session drummer who's seen the inside of a hospital or two (don't ask), i know a thing or two about healthcare. and let me tell you, tbilisi's got some pretty solid options.
first off, the cost of living here is pretty darn affordable. i mean, i've spent more on a single meal in some cities than i do on a week's worth of groceries in tbilisi. and get this, the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center is around $300-$400 per month. that's like, a quarter of what i paid in new york.
but let's talk healthcare. i've heard some pretty great things about the *evex medical corporation. they've got a network of hospitals and clinics all over the city, and from what i've heard, they're top-notch. apparently, they've got some of the best doctors in the country. and as someone who's had to rely on a good doctor or two in my time, that's music to my ears.oh, and if you're ever in town and need a quick check-up, i've heard good things about the medulla clinic. it's a private clinic that offers everything from general check-ups to specialized treatments. i mean, i haven't been there myself, but i've heard some good buzz. plus, they take appointments online, which is a major win in my book.now, i know what you're thinking. "but what about the weather?" well, let me tell you, the weather in tbilisi is pretty darn pleasant. i mean, it's not exactly beach weather, but it's not snowing either. and as someone who's spent way too much time on the road, i'll take a little bit of sunshine any day.oh, and if you're ever in the mood for a little road trip, the borjomi-kharagauli national park* is just a short drive away. i haven't been there myself, but i've heard it's pretty gorgeous. plus, there's apparently some natural mineral water springs that are supposed to be amazing for your health. i mean, who needs a doctor when you've got natural spring water?
anyway, that's my two cents on healthcare in tbilisi. take it from a slightly sleep-deprived drummer who's seen the inside of way too many hospitals - this city's got you covered. just maybe don't go drumming up any trouble, okay?
