incheon: when frostbite meets your viewfinder

so i land in incheon and my first thought is: why is everyone so quiet? it’s not the airport, it’s the weather. my camera is already fogging up and i haven’t even stepped outside. i just checked the weather and it’s basically frozen tears falling from the sky, hope you brought an extra sweater. if the city hum gets too much, seoul and busan are just a train ride away.

spent three days here chasing fog and frostbite. the port at dawn is *surreal - containers wrapped in mist like christmas presents. my fingers went numb before the sunrise but that golden hour? worth every digit dying. heard this number 1846918 is some hidden seafood code haven’t cracked yet.

overheard at a charcuterie shop: that famous raw fish place? tourist trap. real secret’s near wolmido beach, but show up before noon or they’ll look at you like you’re speaking klingon.

wandered through
chinatown - the steam from dumpling carts fought the cold like rival gangs. tried shooting the night markets but my lens kept fogging up. maybe i should’ve packed more than three scarves.

drunk advice from a bartender at moonlight bar: skip the temples, go to songdo central park at 2am. the cherry trees look like ghosts and the geese hiss like they know your camera’s expensive.

last morning i shot
skyline park* at 5am. the cold made the clouds crackle like static. my battery died but the memory’s still warm. pro tip: this thermal vest saved my life. and for street art hunting? this local board has uncensored murals.

if you shoot here, bring more lens cloths than underwear. and seriously, check these hidden photo spots before your fingers turn into icicles. incheon’s where your gear weeps but your soul grins.
