Liverpool, where the rain thinks it's snow and I finally found my people (they're all crying in a pub)

the weather here is a special kind of agony. Wet so hard my jacket sounds like a drum in a storm. Curse these metrics: 3.98 degrees, feels like -0.01. Oh right, I forgot to mention my hands are numb. Which is funny because I also can't feel the existential dread anymore. Progress?

this morning I woke up and the canal near my flat had turned to sludge. Decided to document the apocalypse. Swore I saw a seagull in a suit jacket waddling by. Tried to film it. My phone died at 3% and now I'm stuck in a covered market eating a baklava that tastes like regret. But look, it's heritage grounds!

the pub where I'm hiding is called The Fox & Owl. Heard a guy next to me whispering about the "necklace in the whiskey" curse. Brought it up to the barista who just shuddered and said "sonny, that ain't a curse-that's just Tuesday." Maybe check out their reviews on TripAdvisor later. Might even ask for directions.

Visited the World Museum today because a C marks a beard on a meme. Turns out it's full of taxidermied things that look haunted. Saw a vampire bat stuffed in a top hat. Ordering a pint afterwards because I need to process this. Liverpool, baby.
